Job Description

AMK Microfinance Institution Plc. is one of the largest microfinance institutions in Cambodia. AMK serves a large number of over 600,000 customers with more than 2,500 staffs nationwide.

Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • The Senior Internal Audit Officer will report to the Internal Audit Manager (IAM), and he/she is responsible for assisting HIA/DHIA/IAM in carrying out internal audit operation for AMK and the main tasks are follows:
  • Review and update risks of departments to IAM/DHIA/HIA on a regular basis
  • Prepare planning and conduct departments audit (specifically Finance, Treasury, Procurement, Compliance, HR)
  • Assist IAM in updating regulatory and standard from NBC, GDT, NAC
  • Draft clear report for IAM and auditee of issue findings with proper recommendations
  • Actively involved in discussion of audit findings and its status, provide feedback on effectiveness of post- audit corrections process and give recommendation for changes
  • Provide training to the team members when deem necessary, provide effective coaching to ensure effective knowledge exchange and internal audit quality in its process and output
  • Other tasks assigned by the HIA/DHIA/IAM.
Job Requirements
  • University degree in banking/finance, accounting, business or economics, preferably a specialized accounting degree
  • At least two years of experience in internal audit in the microfinance/banking/audit sector or two years of experience of finance/accounting in the microfinance/banking/audit sector
  • Good understanding about NBC, GDT, AML/CFT regulations
  • Good understanding of Internal Control and processes
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) and good understanding of CBS system or other specific MIS for MFIs
  • Ability to write timely, clear and concise reports on the findings
  • Good written and spoken English, as well as communication and interpersonal skills
  • High motivation and ability to work without supervision and willing to travel to the provinces.
